About Us

GameGuard was founded in 2002 by native Texan and father of five Craig Smith. Craig took on a personal challenge to develop a pattern that best fit the Texas and Southwestern United States landscape. About one year was spent drawing the pattern and working with printing mills to best emulate the subtle tans, taupes and browns found in the area while weaving in the muted greens of cactus, yucca and cedar. It was critical to get the colors right and once that part of the task was complete, we set out to build the best products we possibly could.

From meager beginnings of selling to the local outfitter or attending small table top shows around the state, GameGuard has now become a well-recognized brand with an almost cult-like following. GameGuard is no longer a little fish in a big pond but the brand that Texans, and most hunters of the Southwestern United States, are recognizing as the product to buy.

GameGuard recently launched a new catalog which contains, we believe, the most complete offering in the industry to date. Our catalog features more than thirty-four pages of apparel, caps, bags, coolers, videos, boots and optics. None of our successes would have been possible without the loyal following our customers have provided. This phenomenal brand loyalty has earned GameGuard a spot in more than 300 retail dealers around the country. It's not often someone gets to live out the American dream and we're doing it. We thank God everyday for allowing us the freedom to do what we love.
